A holistic analysis about the context in Vila Jataí, an eco-neighbourhood in SÃO PAULO and a tailor made methodology based in three main realms: SPACE, PEOPLE and LIGHT, and the overlap in between them, leads us to develop a concept unfolded into six different expressions, that complement each other and together compose a broad, complete and meaningful lighting proposal.
This four-day workshop is part of a series of annual workshops regarding lighting in urban contexts, a partnership in between AsBAI, Brazilian Association of Lighting Architects, and LEDforum, the major lighting design conference in Brazil.
The outcome has been one master plan that regards three different scales of the area, neighborhood, street and square scales and three temporary lighting installations for node, landscape and transition typologies, created from scratch by workshop participants.
